This week is TestBash UK 2023 week! 🎉
It's an exciting time of year for the Ministry of Testing (MoT) community. Over 450 of us will soon come together in person in Liverpool to connect and learn. It's hard to pinpoint what it is that makes a TestBash so special and it's a privilege to get to hang out with some of you in real life. Thank you so much for purchasing a ticket. For those who can't attend in person look/listen out for social posts from the MoT community via the #TestBash hashtag.Â
I'll be honest though, an in-person testing conference — like TestBash — can feel overwhelming! Beyond planning your schedule there are essential things to consider to make the most of your experience. Here are five things I like to remind myself of.Â
- Acknowledge you can’t do it all — just like testing, you can't test it all!Â
- Embrace the random conversations
- Step back to soak it all inÂ
- Grab breaks to manage energy levels
- Take selfies and group photos
I've written about them on the MoT blog:Â Five Things To Remember When Attending an In-Person Conference. Hope they help. I'd love to hear your tips, please share on social platforms with the #TestBash hashtag or send me an email.Â
🧠Are you curious about how your web app's speed affects your users' experience? Marie Cruz comes at a different angle than the typical objective checks for performance testing with this fascinating Masterclass Webinar recording: Watch "The Psychology of Web Performance". Available exclusively to Ministry of Testing Pro Members.Â
You know that moment when you're trying to explain the nuances of software testing to someone, and all you get is that glazed-over look? Yep, we've all been there. That's why we're stoked to have Nicola Lindgren with us for an interactive Ask Me Anything chat where we dive deep into "Talking Testing with Stakeholders." Nicola's fantastic so I'm very much looking forward to this one.
