TestBash UK - More Than a Multi-Track Conference

TestBash has always been a single-track conference with attendees watching a series of talks between networking breaks. However, take a look at the event lineup for TestBash UK and you’ll see that we’re offering something different with multiple tracks. So why have we gone multi-track? Let us explain our plans and how we’re building a testing conference that provides the maximum learning opportunities to suit you.

Whilst on the surface it might seem that we’re running a typical multi-track conference, our vision is not about offering a wealth of topics to learn but a wealth of ways to learn. As an example, let’s take a look at what Marie Drake will be contributing to TestBash UK:

  • Hosting a talk called Performance Testing 101

  • Running a workshop called Performance Testing 101

  • Also, running an activity called Performance Testing 101

Notice the theme? Marie is running a variety of sessions all themed around the topic of Performance Testing so you can learn the subject in the way that works for you. All our speakers are working hard to present their experiences and knowledge in different formats so you can choose the formats you prefer. Like getting hands-on? Why not attend the workshops? Prefer to listen to a story? Head over to the talks. Looking for a fast-paced way to learn lots of topics? Try out our activities.

TestBash UK is more than multi-track; it’s multi-format with the opportunity to learn and discover all topics in the way you want. Here’s a quick summary of your learning options at TestBash UK.

Talks @ The Stage

TestBash has always had the very best in talks on quality and testing, and TestBash UK will be no different. Talks offer a great way to learn if you’re someone who likes to hear others tell stories and watch demonstrations. They are also a great opportunity for those looking to learn many new ideas in a straightforward and quick way.

What new testing ideas will you learn at one of the talks?

99-Minute Workshops @ Pier Eight and Hexagon

Our online 99-Minute Workshops have been hugely successful and valuable for attendees. This is due to them being learning outcome focussed with hands-on activities targeted at making sure attendees achieve the learning goals. All with the support of testing gurus. The in-person workshops at TestBash will follow the same successful recipe.

If you’re someone who likes to learn deeply with hands-on practical experience, the 99 Minute workshops are for you.

TestBashX Activities @ Compass

Based on our innovative TestBashX format (X for experience 😉), these activities offer shorter, hands-on, collaborative learning experiences. You’ll have the opportunity to take on multiple 30-minute activities on a variety of topics with a group of like-minded attendees to learn new skills and try out new techniques.

Joining the activities gives you all the interactivity of a workshop, plus the rapid learning opportunities you get from talks. A great space to get a taster of lots of new techniques, topics and tools.

Challenges @ The Community Hub

Our speakers and sponsors are also helping us to create challenge posters around the event space so can apply and continue your learning on your terms. Each poster will have a quick challenge to complete that you can do by yourself or with others. Complete all the challenges and be in with a chance to win a big bundle prize at the end of the conference!
