TestBash Brighton 2022 Cancellation and TestBash UK

It is with huge regret that we have to announce that TestBash Brighton 2022 has been cancelled.

😢 How come?

Sadly our venue, The Clarendon Centre, put a cap on the number of attendees they can host due to COVID-19. So, unfortunately, this reduction means we can’t run everything we had planned for TestBash Brighton.

Receiving this news means we have limited time to deliver our vision for TestBash Brighton, especially as we continue to run as a limited team until 2022. Our goal is to host a TestBash that feels like a TestBash and not a compromise.

We have taken the hard choice to cancel TestBash Brighton 2022 to continue to work on community events, such as TestBash World (NEW - see below), 99 Minute Workshops, and more.

We thank everyone who submitted to speak at TestBash Brighton 2022. Although we won’t be able to invite you to Brighton, we’ll look through every submission and consider you for our online events for 2022.

😀 Any good news?

Whilst it's sad to share the news of TestBash Brighton, we're happy to share:

  • TestBash Manchester will be back and will be rebranded as TestBash UK. The event will be at The Lowry in September 2022 and we’re confident this TestBash will go ahead as we have the space we need at The Lowry to execute our vision for the future of TestBashes. The new name of TestBash UK is motivated by the cancellation of TestBash Brighton. It's become clear to us that it is unsustainable to run two UK TestBash conferences a year, so by rebranding to TestBash UK we have the opportunity to host our TestBash events in different locations in the UK. So whilst TestBash UK 2022 will be at The Lowry, who knows what vibrant tech hub we'll join in future years.

  • We have plans for a bold new global event called TestBash World that will bring the Testing Community together in a way we’ve never done before. More news to come on this in the new year.

Thank you once again for your understanding and ongoing support. If you have any comments or questions, feel free to let us know via hello@ministryoftesting.com. In the meantime, subscribe to our newsletter to get the latest updates on our upcoming events and workshops.
