The Explorers, the band that never was

Add Memory
Four people. A woman and three men standing next to each other looking cool at the camera – they are attempting to look like they are in a band. One of them is holding a phone with a picture of another man.

21st October 2016, TestBash Manchester. Myself (drums), Gwen Diagram (vocals), Mark Winteringham (guitar), Christopher Chant (guitar) and Dan Ashby (bass – he's on the phone Mark's holding) had just agreed to create a new band, The Explorers. We aimed to play TestBash 2017 and dazzle the audience with a set of rock and punk covers. We had a practice playlist on the go yet couldn't quite make it work given we all lived across the UK. Still, we were probably the coolest tester band to ever exist. A case of the Goldilocks heuristic, we broke up before we got too big. 😅
