Model-Based Automation for Complex Business Applications
Lilia Gargouri (Head of Software Quality Assurance @mgm technology partners)
Abstract
In the digital age, test automation experts face the challenge of efficiently automating the testing of extensive forms within complex business applications. The large number of fields in each form, combined with the multitude of possible input variations, complicates end-to-end test automation—especially under the constraints of limited time and resources. This presentation introduces a model-based approach that generates test automation code and employs an interpreter to systematically and blindly fill out each form’s user interface. The core concept of this approach is transferable to other applications and UI test automation tools.

From Painful to Productive: Making test environments work for everyone
by Katja Meyer (Teamlead Testing @QualityMinds)
Abstract:
When was the last time you’ve struggled with the environment management in your project? For me, this has been among the top three of my pain points during the last years. And this pain ranges from someone changing an environment’s configuration without telling anyone to someone using up all the test data without resetting it or environments simply not being available when I need them.
In my current project we decided to transform the test environment in the regulated context of the financial sector and introduced DevOps culture and practices. I’m going to illustrate our starting point and the steps taken to achieve on-demand environments for everyone. Join me on our journey from mainframe architecture to containerization and infrastructure as code!
